description: Welcome to the very first Esca CD, and the one to which all others are compared. This CD contains full-length versions of the tv opening and ending, as well as one image and one insert song. The remaining tracks are the magnificent background music. All four vocal songs do have lyrics. All 12 pages of the book are in full-color on heavy paper. On the left of page 2 is the track list, printed in rainbow tones on a black background. The right of page 2 and all of page 3 are a lovely image of Van riding dragon-form Escaflowne and Hitomi standing in the wind. Pages 4 and 5 have all four songs' lyrics in black ink over a faded background of another pic of Van riding dragon-form Escaflowne. Pages 6 and 7 have various screen shots from the tv series over a blue monotone background photograph of the Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra. Pages 8 and 9 have various images of the orchestra and its performance hall. Page 10 has music and recording credits. Page 11 is a photograph from one of the recording sessions of a strange man with more recording credits in red ink. Page 12--the back cover of the book--has "Escaflowne" printed over the same cloth texture background from the front of the book, and with a fancy "E" under the normal type "E" of "Escaflowne". Now, the music! Kanno Youko is one of the most talented composers in the world, and she proves why on this wonderful CD. She uses the orchestra and choir to its fullest extent with her lovely scores. I will never tire of this anime's wonderful music, and I can never say enough good things about it. I dare ANYONE who says anime music is nothing but cheap synthetic crap to repeat that statement after listening to this CD! Impossble!
