description: The Laputa CD. All tracks are background music except for 14, which is the ending, "Kimi o Nosete". The background music often contains various forms of the ending song's melody, sometimes sung by a chorus, but usually straight instrumental. The CD book actually a long sheet of paper that has been folded in half to make a four-page book. It is printed in full color, and has three separate still-shots from the movie as illustrations. Inside the book are the "Laputa Studio Memo" about the composing and scoring of the music. On the right inner page is a photo and profile of the ending song's singer, Inoue Azumi, including the normal info such as birth day, height, and prevoius CDs. Lyrics for the ending song are on the back page. The unusual detail about this CD is its cover. The background of the cover image shown above is the actual front of the CD book, but Pazu, Sheeta, and the robot are printed on a clear sheet of plastic. The plastic rests on top of the cover's background as if it were a production cel. The plastic is not attached in any way to the book. Sugoi! I love the music from this movie, and often have it playing while I concentrate on animation or translating. It's easy to tune out when you really need to think, but pleasent to the ears whenever you need to take a moment to relax. I only wish the CD were longer!
