Notes:

1. "Goraam--the slaves?" In the original Japanese, the kanji for "slave", normally pronounced "dorei" is used, and "goraam" is printed in small type next to the kanji, to show pronunciation. Japanese has an advantage over English by both using an invented word (goraam) and defining it at the same time (slave). To do the same thing in English, I had to add "the slaves?" after "Goraam".
